Title: Windows to the Soul
Prompt: "Beautiful" - Cottoncandy Bingo
Fandom: Free! Iwatobi Swim Club -- Nagisa/Rei
Rating: PG; nothing bad really
Words: 625
Summary: Nagisa steals Rei's glasses, and gets a little more than he bargained for in the process.
Author's Note: This piece came about by virtue of my temporary obsession with the prettiness (a word, yes) of Rei's eyes, as discovered in the hotel scenes of the final episodes. Naturally, I had to sit down and write about it-- thereby projecting said obsession onto my poor Nagisa. But really... who wouldn't feel that way?
Inspired in part by a line of "Caramel" by SID: "Putting it into words would make it sound cheap, I understand that, but I want to convey it."
Also, my first filled square on my cottoncandy_bingo card! <3 For the prompt "Beautiful".
( If he tried to describe this simple, beautiful thing, it would only fall flat, and Rei would never understand. If he tried to convey the moment, the feeling of it, it would be cheapened by the words, and Rei would merely brush it off. )
